The Bloomfield Wedding Photos Orlando | A Whimsical Spring Wedding at a Blueberry Farm
As an Orlando wedding photographer, I love documenting weddings that truly reflect a couple's personality, and Emma and DJ's whimsical wedding at Bloomfield Venue Orlando was the perfect example. Set on a modern, picturesque blueberry farm in Yalaha, their day was filled with colorful spring dresses, blueberry-inspired details, stunning natural scenery, and an unforgettable sunset. Their celebration embraced the playful, emotional and romantic feeling that makes a whimsical wedding so magical.
Emma told me that while she absolutely wanted gorgeous wedding photos, but she also knew herself well enough to know that once she was done with portraits, she was ready to get back to celebrating. She didn't want to spend large portions of her wedding day standing around posing and the part of the day she was most excited for, aside from marrying DJ, was seeing her guests bright, colorful spring dresses as the sun set on the patio during cocktail hour. She wanted to be able to enjoy ample time with her guests and new husband, and we made sure that happened!
Honestly, I felt the same way on my own wedding day.
As much as I love the photos, I remember wanting to maximize my time with the people who traveled to celebrate with us. Because of that experience, I work hard as an Orlando wedding photographer to create efficient timelines that allow my couples to enjoy both beautiful portraits and their celebration.
Emma and DJ did exactly that.
A Stunning Spring Wedding at Bloomfield Venue
The Bloomfield Venue Orlando is a brand new venue located on a Blueberry Farm in Yalaha, FL. The property is absolutely stunning for a colorful wedding. The natural beauty of the blueberry farm created a romantic backdrop that felt both elegant and relaxed.
One of the standout moments of the day was the ceremony setup itself. The coordination team clearly knew the property well and strategically placed the ceremony in a corner of the venue rather than positioning it where guests and the couple would be completely backlit by the afternoon sun, which helped create these amazing photos.
We were fortunate to have cloud cover for much of the ceremony, but overall it was a very sunny Florida wedding day with plenty of direct sunlight. Instead of fighting those bright conditions, the bright, colorful design of the day embraced them beautifully.
Spring Colors Everywhere
Another thing Emma emphasized during our planning conversations was her love of whimsical, spring colors. She envisioned a wedding day filled with bright, fun hues and wanted her bridal party's dresses, and even guest’s dresses, to play a major role in the overall aesthetic.
The vibrant spring dresses worn by all the women became part of the decor themselves.
Against the bright Florida sunshine and lush natural surroundings of the blueberry farm, the colors absolutely popped. The combination of direct sunlight, blooming greenery, and pastel dresses created some of the most joyful and colorful wedding photos of the day.
Sometimes the most beautiful wedding decor isn't elaborate installations or extravagant floral arrangements. Sometimes it's simply allowing the natural surroundings and thoughtfully chosen colors to shine.
The result was a wedding that felt effortlessly beautiful and undeniably fun.
Thoughtful Blueberry Details Throughout the Day
One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is noticing all the little details that tell a couple's story. Emma and her husband incorporated the blueberry farm setting into their celebration in so many creative ways.
Throughout the morning while getting ready, the girls snacked on fresh blueberries. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed specialty drinks inspired by the venue and season. Their signature cocktails included a blueberry spicy margarita along with another blueberry-inspired drink that tied everything together perfectly.
Fresh blueberries also appeared throughout the cocktail hour displays, bringing a cohesive and playful element to the overall design.
I loved to use all the blueberry accents set up throughout the day almost like Emma’s “something blue” sprinkled throughout their final gallery.
It was such a simple yet meaningful way to incorporate tradition while also honoring the location where they chose to celebrate.
An Incredible Florida Sunset
As beautiful as the ceremony and details were, the sunset later in the evening, may have stolen the show.
The skies over the blueberry farm put on an incredible display of color, creating the perfect opportunity for a few final portraits before Emma and her husband returned to the party.
Because we had intentionally kept portraits efficient throughout the day, these sunset photos felt relaxed and natural. There was no pressure, no rushing, and no feeling like they were missing out on their reception, just pure fun for the couple.
Why Your Wedding Timeline Matters
One of the biggest misconceptions couples have is that getting beautiful wedding photos requires spending hours away from their guests.
The reality is that with intentional planning and a well-designed photography timeline, you can absolutely have both.
You can have stunning portraits, meaningful candid moments, gorgeous detail photos, and plenty of time to enjoy your cocktail hour, reception, and time with loved ones.
That's exactly what Emma & DJ’s wedding day accomplished.
Their wedding was filled with colorful details, meaningful moments, beautiful scenery, and an incredible sunset, but what I'll remember most is how present they were throughout the entire celebration.
As an Orlando wedding photographer, that's always my goal: creating beautiful images while helping couples experience every moment of their wedding day.
If you're planning your own Florida wedding and looking for an Orlando wedding photographer who values both beautiful imagery and an enjoyable wedding experience, I'd love to connect and hear more about your vision.
