I have always been the girl with the camera

It started out with a point and shoot, posting way too many (maybe unnecessary) albums on Facebook and even Myspace.

But when I was choosing my career, I never considered any type of art as an option. What I looked at was choosing was a stable, reliable job, but also one that serves others. So I became and occupational therapist

Well following my undergraduate years (at the University of South Carolina, go gamecocks!) before grad school, I advanced my little photography hobby by purchasing my first DSLR camera and made my friends pose for a mini photoshoot on a friend trip to Charleston, SC. I completely relied on free educational videos in those early years, but after time, a few posts on local facebook groups and even Craigslist, I booked some of my first paid sessions for families in my hometown in New Jersey. From there, I started to GROW. In clients, in gear, in business and education. It was undeniable. I had to start my own business for this “little hobby”.

I moved the business to Texas with my then-boyfriend, now husband, and continue to work to grow it to this day from Austin. While I’m still an occupational therapist, I’ve realized that my call to serve others is not only attainable through my healthcare expertise, but also through capturing people’s most important moments and memories.

The best way I know how to serve my couples is through skilled photography and great communication with my couples to create a photo timeline that makes sense. On my own wedding day, I wanted my beautiful portraits (obviously, I’m a photographer!), but I really wanted ample time to spend with my new husband and our guests. While there are always certain portraits that need to be done on a wedding day, as well as some of those epic bridal shots that look like they belong in a magazine, my goal is to capture those photos efficiently and well:
